Steve Sobonya

Steve Sobonya holds his masters degree in exercise science and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Sobonya trains athletes of all ages and physical ability including many professional and Olympic athletes.

Billy Ramos:

-Black Belt Eskrima (Pilipino art)

-18 years martial arts training
-12 years: martial arts instructor at Pacific Martial Arts
-3 years instructing at Steinbeck Elementary
-1 year instructor (Bullard High School)
1 year boxing instructor (Clovis West High School)

Progressive Sports:
-7 years assistant strength and conditioning coach
-developed strength and conditioning programs for all ages and abilities
-trained Mix Martial Arts fighters: Cole Escovedo, David Espinosa, Michelle Maher, Chuck Liddel

Gina Giannetta

Gina was born and raised in Fresno, Calif. where she attended San Joaquin Memorial High School. She was a three sport varsity athlete in Volleyball, Soccer, and Softball. She has played club softball for six years and club soccer for 13 years, including four years of club soccer at the collegiate level. She attended Loyola Marymount University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She has been with Progressive Sports for three years, working with a variety of athletes, from high school to professional. WIth past experience working as a student manager at LMU's recreation center, Gina not only has an insight to our athlete's needs, but has experience in business administration. She has aspirations to become a massage therapist, specializing in sport specific massage. Gina plans to go back to school to receive her Master's Degree after taking a few years off.

Tom Fries

Tom is a pioneer in combine training. He has over 30 years of coaching experience at the division 1 and professional level. This includes 1st round draft picks in football, baseball, and basketball as well as a number of Olympians. From 1985-1986 Tom was the California Junior College Coach of the Year for women’s track. He has experience in a variety of sports, including coaching Chuck Liddell for 3 years, helping him gain the UFC Light Heavyweight title in 2005.

Mike Nicasio

Mike grew up in Fresno, Calif. where he attended Clovis East High School lettering in baseball, receiving the most valuable player award in 2005. He then attended West Hills Junior College where he played two years of Junior College Baseball. Mike then played a year of semi-pro baseball for the Clovis Outlaws. He is attending Fresno State College and will reveive a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology in 2010. Mike has aspirations to receive his Master Degree in Sports Psychology.

Shane Harris

Shane was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA where he attended Aptos High School.  During High School Shane was a three-sport varsity athlete in Football, Wrestling, and Roller Hockey.  Also as a hobby, he was a Pop-Warner special teams, and offensive football Coach for 3 seasons.  He has played semi-pro football for three seasons for the Santa Cruz Sharks and Central-Cal Crusaders.  Shane attended Fresno State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  He has been with Progressive Sports for the Last year working with all different kinds of Athletes.  Shane has his ASEP Coaching Principles Certification, and is AED/CPR Certified.  He is also in progress to obtain his CSCS Strength and Conditioning Certification. Some of Shane’s carrier goals are to earn his masters degree in Kinesiology, Coach football, and own his own gym.
